Spurs & Hammers Tipped For Last Deadline Day Transfer

Tottenham and West Ham top the betting with Paddy Power to be the last Premier League club to have a transfer announced at the 6pm deadline tomorrow. With fans of both clubs smarting after weekend defeats, it looks like they may be chewing on their nails until the last minute to see who their saviour might be.
Shay Given is 11/10 to still be at Man City at 6pm, with Fulham the most likely club at 6/4 to sign the once peerless keeper. His Republic of Ireland colleague Robbie Keane is almost sure to leave Spurs according to many fans but where he’ll end up is open to much speculation with Paddy Power unable to choose between Aston Villa, Celtic and Newcastle, all available at 3/1.
Back to keepers, and exactly who’ll be in nets for Arsenal against Bolton on September 11. The much maligned Manuel Almunia is still favourite as the incumbent at 5/6 and it’s even money, in what seems a match, that it’s Mark Schwarzer who comes in to steal the Spaniard’s spot.
Optimistic punters who see the goalkeeping merry-go-round going full circle can have 40/1 that Shwarzer signs for Arsenal, Friedel signs for Fulham and Almunia signs for Villa!
Paddy Power said, “There’s so many sub plots tomorrow that we’ll all be glued to the TV to see who’s going where. Nobody wants to play their cards until the last minute so it will be interesting to see just who has the nerves of steel to wait until 5.59 to sign the dotted line!”
