Ennis now odds-on for London 2012 gold as bookies predict record-breaking interest

JESSICA Ennis is now 4/5 to take gold for Great Britain at the London Olympics, according to Ladbrokes.
Ennis had been an even money chance before she sealed the heptathlon gold in the European Championships in Barcelona - and punters immediately rushed to back her for home glory in 2012.
The bookies now reckon Ennis is set to become `betting box-office` with millions of pounds expected to be gambled on her fortunes in the build-up to the Olympics.
Ladbrokes spokesman David Williams said: "Ennis is breaking records everywhere she goes and we fully expect her to break betting records too.
"Millions will now be bet on her and we`re not complaining. We`ll take a hit if she lands gold in 2012 but she`ll boost interest and that`s all we can hope for. London 2012 revolves around Ennis."
