Hernandez Ready For Test Of Loyalty

Manchester United’s new signing will face a test of loyalty next week as he plays in the pre-season warm up between his old club Chivas and new team Manchester United. In an intriguing twist Alex Ferguson has said that his new signing can play one half for his old club and one half for Manchester United. Paddy Power quote 5/4 that he scores for his new club in front of the 45,000 fans that used to cheer him on. Ferguson has stated he was pleased to sign Hernandez before the World cup as his two goals in South Africa would certainly have raised his price tag. The striker is 50/1 to be the top Premier League scorer and 5/6 to score more the 8.5 goals in 2010/11.
Robbie Keane’s future still hangs in the balance, the Spurs player has still not been confirmed as part of Harry Redknapp’s 25 man squad. Paddy Power has Aston Villa as the 5/6 favourite to be Keane’s club in the 2010/11 season, Spurs are 3/2. Whilst Celtic, who Keane has been on loan to for the second half of last season, is a less likely home at 20/1 and it’s the same price for Fulham to strengthen their squad with Keane.
Argentine legend Diego Maradona has resigned as the national team manager after falling out with the Argentine FA over the request to remove some of his back room staff, but what is next for the mad maestro? Paddy Power have a manager position in one of Argentina’s league clubs (except Boca) as the clear 1/2 favourite, with manager of his beloved Boca Juniors at 7/4. The next World Cup will have less character without him but it is 15/2 that he takes charge of another International team.
