Henin 2/1 in Australian Open betting

Sky Bet have cut Justine Henin`s odds of winning the Australian Open to 2/1 (from 5/2) after she progressed to the last four with a straight sets victory over 19th seed Nadia Petrova.

The seven-time Grand Slam champion is Sky Bet`s 1/4 favourite to beat China`s Zheng Jie (3/1) in the semi-finals and 4/6 to win in straight sets.

Henin is playing only her second tournament since coming out of an 18-month retirement and Sky Bet make her 7/4 second favourite to be ranked number one in the world at the end of 2010. Serena Williams is 6/4 favourite to hang onto the top spot.

Sky Bet`s tennis betting spokesman Chris Kennedy said: "The return of Henin and Clijsters to the women`s game seems to have given the Williams sisters further desire to compete and we can look forward to an enthralling 2010 season as the four battle for supremacy."

Sky Bet are also offering odds on how the 27-year-old Belgian fares in the other majors this year and go 2/5 (from 1/2) that she wins a Grand Slam and 9/2 that she wins Wimbledon, the only Grand Slam title to have eluded her so far.
