Bertie fits the bill for Celeb Apprentice

Former Teflon Taoiseach Bertie Ahern is being tipped to take part in this year’s first ever Celebrity Apprentice on TV3.

Bookmakers Paddy Power have made the doting granddad their 4/1 favourite to win TV3’s new entertainment show scheduled for this Spring and be hired as Bill Cullen’s first celebrity apprentice.

Other celebrities tipped to appear on the popular show, which will more than likely be aired for charity, include Boyzone’s Keith Duffy at 6/1, boxer Bernard Dunne at 8/1 and newly engaged Michelle Heaton at 20/1. Outsiders to send their cv into Bill include Ryanair chief Michael O’Leary at 50/1 and U2 front-man Bono at 100/1.

Sharon McHugh, spokesperson for Paddy Power said: “The Apprentice is a fantastic show and watching celebs back-biting each other for Bill’s affections would only make it all the more interesting. Bertie is by far our favourite as we all know how hard it is to get rid of him!”
