Wayne Rooney favourite for Ferenc Puskas award

WAYNE ROONEY is the favourite to win this year's Puskas Award according to Ladbrokes.

The bookies make his stunning bicycle kick the 3/1 favourite for the FIFA goal of the year award from Neymar (4/1) and Stankovic (5/1). Despite his exploits this season Lionel Messi's best effort is an 8/1 chance and Heather O'Reilly of the USA is a notable entry at 12/1 for her long range strike in the Women's World Cup. Giovanni Dos Santos is the 20/1 outsider.
