Football punters enjoy best Saturday in living memory

FOOTBALL PUNTERS have enjoyed one of the best Saturdays in living memory according to Ladbrokes.
In what was one of the worst days of results in recent years Premier League bankers Arsenal, Everton, Manchester City and United all dotted up along with lower-league fancies West Ham, Charlton, Southend and Crawley among others.
The firm are still estimating the payout figure as shop punters form a steady queue to collect but envisage damage to the tune of several million.
Alex Donohue of Ladbrokes said: "We've been cleaned out. Football punters enjoyed one of their best days ever yesterday and we're still not sure the full extent of the cost."
He added: "From Premier League favourites right down to Scottish FA Cup first round games virtually every fancied team did the business. Christmas has definitely come early for thousands of punters."
