Manchester City are the favourites to score the 20,000th Premier League goal as they look to see in Christmas in top spot with victory over Stoke tonight.
Just 11 goals are needed to reach the milestone with seven matches taking place on Wednesday night, and Sky Bet are offering 4/1 for it to be a City player who etches their name into the Premier League's history books.
City have been in destructive form at the Etihad Stadium this season, averaging over three goals per game, and are 2/7 favourites to beat Stoke, who are 12/1 to record a fourth-successive league win.
Victory tonight will see Roberto Mancini's men secure their place at the top of the table come Christmas Day, while Manchester United will be looking to keep up the pressure when they visit Fulham.
Sir Alex Ferguson's men are 8/1 to snatch another piece of Premier League history by reaching the milestone, while Everton and Arsenal, who face Swansea and Aston Villa respectively, are both 7/1.
Sky Bet also offer odds on which player will net the historic 20,000th goal, with Sergio Aguero and Mario Balotelli, who are joint 10/3 favourites to open the scoring against Tony Pulis' men, both 10/1, while the Premier League's leading scorer Robin van Persie is 14/1 to add to his remarkable year by reaching the landmark.
