Bookmakers William Hill believe Spurs' fans cashed in on horse racing's biggest coincidence tip since Royal Wedding won on the day William and Kate wed last year.
William Hill slashed the odds of the horse Harrys Yer Man winning the 3.20 race at Wolverhampton as punters backed him down from an opening price of 12/1 - at which price one London-based online gambler bet £200 - to less than half those odds at 11/2 when he romped to victory.
'With Harry Redknapp in the headlines in this week plenty of punters in our shops said they believed the horse was a very topical tip - and they proved correct, costing us a significant five figure sum' said Hill's spokesman Graham Sharpe.'Some of them even reinvested their winnings on another football-themed runner when Viva Ronaldo won the very next race at Wolverhampton at 6/1.'
