Wenger Still Odds-on To Be In Charge Next Season Despite Ac Mauling
Arsene Wenger is 2-7 with Coral to still be in charge of Arsenal next season, despite his side's 4-0 thrashing at the hands of AC Milan last night. The Frenchman is 5-2 not to be in charge at the Emirates at the start of the 2012/13 campaign.
Coral has also opened betting on which big name boss will be first to leave their respective role at Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United, Manchester City, and Liverpool, and make Andre Villas-Boas the 8-11 favourite to be first to exit, with Kenny Dalglish and Roberto Mancini the 4-1 joint second favourites.
"Arsene Wenger was unusually critical of his side following their San Siro defeat, but we're not expecting the 4-0 loss to signal the beginning of the end of his reign," said Coral's David Stevens.
"Indeed Mr Wenger's position looks relatively safe compared to some of his peers, with Roman Abramovich's habit of firing Chelsea managers ensuring Andre Villas-Boas is odds-on for an early exit from Stamford Bridge," added Stevens.
