AVB 5/2 to be out before midnight - odds-on sack race favourite

ANDRE VILLAS-Boas is now just 5/2 with Ladbrokes to get his marching orders before midnight.

The bookies have reacted to Chelsea's draw with Birmingham by slashing his sack race odds to 1/2 as well making him the clear favourite behind Harry Redknapp at 10/3.

Chelsea are the 2/5 favourites to qualify from the replay with Birmingham 7/4 to add to the West London club's woes.

Alex Donohue of Ladbrokes said: "Punters are queueing up to back AVB for the sack. If he is still in charge for the fixture then only a convincing win in the replay will do."

He added: "In-play punters deserted Chelsea as they tried to get back into the game. We were actually cheering them on for the win as all the money was for Birmingham and the draw."
