La Liga Football Betting - Villareal vs Real Madrid

Spanish giants Real Madrid travel to Villareal tonight in La Liga. The visitors, who have won all of their four competitive games this season and thrashed Xerex 5-0 most recently are favourites at 8/13 (bet $130 to make $80 profit). Villareal, who have not won this season, are 5/1 to end that streak tonight, with the draw at 10/3.
Real Madrid have scored at least three goals in every game this season, and a 3-0 win for the new Galacticos is priced at 16/1, with 3-1 at 12/1. Villareal have drawn 1-1 in two of their three games so far, and this score is 17/2. 0-0 is 22/1, but it is worth noting that neither team has failed to score this season. A 1-0 upset win for Villareal is as long as 28/1.
Cristiano Ronaldo, the world’s most expensive player, is favourite to open the scoring at 4/1, and has done so in two of Real’s four competitive games this term. Ronaldo is 5/4 to score at any time, which seems good value for a player who has done so in every game so far, with six goals in four matches, and takes penalties. The next favourite to score first is Karim Benzema at 5/1, but van Nistelrooy at 6/1 should be avoided as he is out for six weeks with an injury. Joseba Llorente is most likely to score first for the home side at 9/1.
Real Madrid have been leading at half-time in every match this season, while Villareal have only been ahead for a total of twenty-six minutes in their three matches this season, and have not yet possessed a half-time lead. The visitors to lead at half-time and full-time is 6/4, with draw/Real Madrid at 4/1. Real Madrid to trail at half-time and lead at full-time is 28/1.
Villareal have started very poorly this season, and a team that finished fifth last season will hope to improve and get back in the European places this year. However, Real Madrid will be a very tough test and tonight may be a difficult time to start winning.
