Italian Serie A betting - Fiorentina vs AC Milan

While Inter Milan take on Chelsea at the San Siro, AC Milan will be playing their game in hand, knowing that a win will put them within touching distance of Jose Mourinho`s side. Milan are currently in third place, two points behind Roma, and seven behind Inter, and have massively picked up their form after a disappointing start to the season.
Ronaldinho, in particular, has been a star performer in recent weeks, and is pushing for a return to the Brazil squad for the World Cup. Milan were punished by Man Utd for their profligacy in their Champions League clash, and ended up in the unenviable situation of having to travel to Old Trafford with a 3-2 deficit.
Nevertheless, Milan will be confident going into this match, with Fiorentina performing way below expectations in Serie A. The Rosseneri are the favourites for the match, best priced at 8/5 (bet £50 to make £80 profit) with Stan James. Fiorentina are only a short way behind, at 2/1 with Coral. Betfair offer the best odds on the draw with 23/10.
The favourite scoreline for the match is a 1-1 draw, which is priced at 11/2. A 1-0 win is priced at 8/1 for Milan and 9/1 for Fiorentina, both with Betfair. A goalless draw and a 2-1 win for Milan are also both 9/1 shots. Fiorentina are 11/1 to win 2-1, and Milan are at the same price to win 2-0.
On the half time / full time market the favourite spot is Milan / Milan where Ladbrokes offer a stand-out price of 4/1. Draw / draw is readily available at 4/1, and Fiorentina / Fiorentina is at 9/2. Draw / Milan is also at 9/2, and Stan James offer 6/1 that the teams will be drawing at half time with Fiorentina claiming a win at full time.
Brazilian wonderkid Alexandre Pato is the 11/2 favourite to open the scoring, having scored nine goals in his 18 appearances in Serie A so far. Alberto Gilardino, who will be looking to crush his old side, is the highest rated Fiorentina player, priced at 6/1. Marco Borriello and Ronaldinho are both priced at 13/2, while Klass Jan Huntelaar and Pippo Inzhagi are both at 7/1.
Milan are currently joint second favourites to win Serie A with Roma, behind Inter. Roma and Milan are at 9/1, and Inter are the runaway favourites at 1/4.
