Italian Serie A betting preview - Internazionale vs Palermo

Internazionale welcome Palermo to the San Siro tonight for a Serie A clash between the league leaders and the fourth-placed Champions League hopefuls. Inter have been in excellent form so far this season, winning seven of their nine league games and only tasting defeat once. Palermo have performed well at home but their away form has let them down and they have only one win in four attempts this term.
The defending champions Inter are favourites for the game at 8/15 (bet $150 to win $80 profit), leaving Palermo as big underdogs, 8/1 to leave Milan with a win. The draw is 3/1. Last season this fixture was drawn, but Palermo have only managed to beat Inter once in their last ten attempts.
The bookies have made a 2-0 win for the hosts the most likely score at 6/1, just ahead of 1-0 at 13/2 and 2-1 at 8/1. A 1-1 draw is 17/2 and a sound 3-0 win for Jose Mourinho`s side is 9/1. 2-2, last season`s result, is priced at 22/1, the same as a shock 1-0 win for Palermo.
Samuel Eto`o, Inter`s Cameroonian striker, is favourite at 7/2, ahead of nineteen year-old rising star Mario Balotelli at 9/2. Also at 9/2 is Diego Milito, who has hit 5 goals in his seven appearances for Inter so far this season. Croatian striker Igor Budan is Palermo`s best chance of scoring the first goal of the match at 12/1.
Inter are 6/5 to be winning at both half-time and full-time and 7/2 to win after drawing at half-time. Both halves to be drawn is priced at 6/1 and Palermo to be beating Inter at the interval and the full-time whistle is at 18/1. The visitors are 70/1 to overcome a half-time deficit and win at full-time.
The defending champions are comfortable favourites to win Serie A this year yet again and are priced at 4/9. Palermo are not really considered contenders for the title this year but are 18/1 to finish in the top three.
