Serie A: AC Milan v Napoli Odds and Betting Preview

MILAN, ITALY - Title-chasing AC Milan take on Napoli as the hosts look to bounce back from their 2-0 defeat at the hands of Lazio. Coral and Ladbrokes have them down at 8/11 (Bet £11 win £8 profit) to do just that and take the three points, while 7th-placed Napoli can be backed at 5/1 for victory with Unibet. BetVictor are going 11/4 that the match ends a draw.
After a major set back away to Lazio in their last outing, AC Milan will know that a slip-up here could prove very costly in their title chase. League-leaders Juventus sit a point ahead of il Rossoneri but have played one game fewer - they're in action at home against minnows Siena, and are a 13/8 bet for the title with Paddy Power. Interestingly, Milan are in at 6/5 in the same market with Ladbrokes, despite losing two of their last four Serie A fixtures.
For Napoli, the dream of a second consecutive Champions League spot looks to be rapidly disappearing. Walter Mazzari's team sit 7th in the table, nine points off 4th-placed Lazio, and a run of four games without a win has seen them drift to 14/1 with Bet365 to finish the season in the top three. A win at fired-up Milan surely looks like too much to ask from them today.
Still, the bookies are predicting a relatively close game. 1-0 to the hosts is a 6/1 punt at William Hill who are also best for 1-1 at 13/2. 2-0 and 2-1 to AC can both be backed at 15/2 with Unibet, while Ladbrokes are quoting 16/1 on 2-2. The biggest prices, as expected, are for winning away scorelines: 2-0 Napoli is 33/1 at Coral and 2-1 is 19/1 with Unibet.Â
In the double result prices, Milan/Milan is as big as 9/5 with Blue Square and looks a nice price given Napoli's recent form. Draw/Milan is on at 4/1 with Unibet, who are also best price for Draw/Napoli at 13/1. Totesport and Stan James are offering 25/1 that Milan are down at the interval but stage a second half comeback to take the three points.
The over/under market is fairly cagey: Stan James are 10/11 on over or under 2.5 goals. Milan have a convincing scoring record on their own patch, however, nettin an average of 2.4 per home game, so William Hill's 12/5 on over 3.5 could be a tempting prospect for punters.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic has led AC's score charts all season, and the Swede finds himself 7/2 top chance with Ladbrokes and Coral to notch the game's first strike. Veteran Pippo Inzaghi is 11/2 with Skybet in the same market, while Manchester City target Edinson Cavani is 13/2 with Bet365.
The match kicks off at 1500 local time, 1400 GMT.
