Steve Davis is now a 40/1 (bet £10 to make £400 profit) chance to win the World Snooker Championship following his suprise 13-11 second round win over world no 1 John Higgins.
The 40/1 odds are on offer with Sportingbet but Ladbrokes are as short as 20/1 about the six times world champion.
Davis now meets no 9 Australian Neil Robertson in the quarter finals and his opponent called for the 52 year old to be knighted for his sporting achievements. Robertson only just made it into the quarters after trailing 5-0 and 11-5 in his second round match.
But Davis is not expected to make it to the semi finals, or at least according to the bookmakers,. He has been a 16/1 shot to win against Higgins and is on offer at 6/1 with Betfair to keep his incredible run going. Robertson can be backed at 1/6 with Skybet and Ladbrokes.
Ronnie O`Sullivan remains the 7/2 favourite for the tournament with Sportingbet, followed by Junhui Ding at 5/1 with Bet 365 and Neil Robertson at 11/2 with Stan James.
