MANCHESTER: Manchester United got their Premier League campaign off to a good start yesterday as they beat Newcastle United 3-0 at Old Trafford, with Dimitar Berbatov, Darren Fletcher and Ryan Giggs all getting on the scoresheet.
The hosts were comfortable favourites going into the game at 2/9 (bet £90 to win £20 profit) with most bookmakers and never really looked in trouble, dominating possesion and territory for the entire match.
Dimitar Berbatov opened the scoring and the Bulgarian, who has failed to quite live up to expectations since signing from Tottenham two years ago, was available at 5/1 on Betfair.
Betfair was also the best place to find odds on the final score of 3-0, at 7/1, and on United to lead at both half-time and full-time, at 3/4.
