GLASGOW, SCOTLAND- Last night, Neil Lennon`s Celtic lost 3-0 to Sporting de Braga at the Portuguese club, and now have a mountain to climb if they hope to progress to the next round.
The size of the challenge they face is represented by odds of 67/10 (bet £10 to make £67 profit)with Betfair for Celtic to qualify from the tie . After last night`s disappointing result Celtic are 33/1 with Ladbrokes to make the group stages .
The Celtic manager insists that the tie is not over though stating ,"We`ve got a good record at home, we`ve been in this position before and we`ll just have to go and be at our very best next week."
It was Lennon`s first competitive match in charge but it looks as though his side may be heading out of the tournament earlier than he would have liked. Sporting de Braga are now clear favourites to progress and are priced at 9/100 with Betfair.
Last night`s result only slightly altered overall Champion`s League winner odds. Sporting de Braga are now best priced at 509/1 with Betfair and Celtic are now best priced at 1,500/1 with Be365.
