Fulham`s eyes may be on their upcoming Europa League final against Atletico Madrid but manager Roy Hodgson has said that he still wants to finish in the top half of the Premier League table this season. The Cottagers are currently sitting in eleventh place with a game in hand on Blackburn, who are one point and one place ahead of them, and will be confident of leapfrogging their rivals by taking the points against a Stoke side who have won only twice in their last fifteen matches away from the Britannnia Stadium.
The hosts are favourites for the game at 6/5 with Victor Chandler (bet £50 to win £60 profit) and this should come as no surprise as teams such as Wolfsburg, Hamburg and the mighty Juventus have all tasted defeat on this ground this season. Stoke are priced at 3/1 with Victor Chandler and will want to finish in the top half themselves, currently lying in thirteenth with a gap of only one point between them and Fulham. The draw, which would not leave either side too disappointed, is available at 12/5.
A 1-1 draw has been made the favourite score for the game at 6/1, followed by 1-0 to Fulham at 13/2 and 2-1 17/2, with a more convincing 2-0 available at 9/1. The same price is on offer that the game finishes goalless and also that the visitors can come away with a surprise 1-0 win, with 2-0 to Tony Pulis`s side at 19/1 with Paddy Power.
Bobby Zamora is enjoying one f his best ever seasons and the Fulham is 11/2 favourite to open the scoring tonight with Coral, who are also best price on Texan team-mate Clint Dempsey at 6/1. Zoltan Gera, who scored the winning goal against Hamburg in Europe, is available at 8/1 and Stoke`s best hope of breaking the deadlock is Jamaican forward Ricardo Fuller, also at 8/1 with Ladbrokes.
Fulham are 5/2 to lead tonight at both half-time and full-time and 9/2 with William Hill to win the match after drawing at half-time. Stan James offer 5/1 that both halves are drawn and Stoke are 7/1 with Victor Chandler to be winning at the half-way stage and go on to take all three points. Draw/Stoke is slightly longer at 8/1.
Whatever happens tonight the real prize is in Germany, where Fulham contest their first ever European final, and they are given a real chance of glory with the bookmakers offering 11/8 that they lift the trophy.
