English Premiership betting - Man City vs Wigan

Manchester City host Wigan tonight, as they continue their pursuit of Champions League football. The race for fourth place is hotting up, with Tottenham in great form and Liverpool having overtaken City at the weekend. Roberto Mancini`s side are still very much in the race, but have a tough run in, with games against Man Utd, Arsenal and Spurs all to come.
City have only won twice in their last five games, and there slump could not have come at a worse time, with Spurs and Liverpool hitting form at the right time. They will be boosted tonight by the return of striker Emmanuel Adebayor, and will look to get their confidence back after their demoralizing defeat to Everton.
The threat of relegation is very real for Wigan, who are sixteenth, only four points above the drop zone. They have lost three of their last four away matches and will need to seriously step up their game if they are to challenge tonight.
City are favourites to win the game, priced at 4/11 with Skybet (bet £110 to make £40 profit), while Wigan are at 10/1 with Stan James. The draw is best priced at 9/2 with Betfair.
A 2-0 win for City is the favourite scoreline at 6/1, followed by a 1-0 win, which is at 13/2 with Ladbrokes. 2-1 and 3-0 victories for the Citizens are both priced at 8/1. A 1-1 draw is at 10/1, and a 3-1 City win is a 12/1 shot with Skybet. A 1-0 win for Wigan is priced at 31/1 on Betfair.
On the half time / full time market, Man City / Man City is generally odds-on, but can be backed at 11/10 on Betfair. Draw / City is priced at 7/2, while draw / draw is best priced at 15/2. Paddy Power offer 20/1 on Wigan / Wigan, and City / Draw is at 22/1 with Skybet.
Argentinian striker Carlos Tevez is favourite to open the scoring against Wigan, priced at 7/2. He has scored 16 league goals so far this season. Togolese forward Adebayor is next, priced at 4/1, followed by Roque Santa Cruz, who is at 5/1 on Betfair. Craig Bellamy is at 6/1, and Adam Johnson, who has been in fantastic form since his move from Middlesborough, is a 9/1 shot to score first. Wigan`s best hope is Hugo Rodallega, who is at 11/1 with Bet365.
Man City are the second favourites to claim the last top four spot, priced at 5/2, slightly behind Spurs at 7/5, but marginally ahead of Liverpool at 13/5. Aston Villa are at 16/1. Wigan are priced at 7/1 to go down.
