English Premier League betting - Tottenham Hotspur vs Sunderland

Tottenham Hotspur host Sunderland today, looking for a convincing victory to erase bitter memories of last week’s 3-0 loss to rivals Arsenal. Spurs had a fantastic start to the season, but have slumped recently, losing their last two league matches.
Spurs are 4/7 favourites for the game (bet £70 to make £40 profit), and Sunderland are at 6/1. The draw is at 11/4.
Spurs will still be missing key-players Luka Modric and Aaron Lennon but Jermain Defoe will return after serving his three-match suspension. Defoe is the 9/2 favourite to open the scoring, ahead of Peter Crouch at 5/1 and Robbie Keane at 11/2. Roman Pavlyuchenko is next at 13/2.
Sunderland’s strike force of Darren Bent and Kenwyne Jones has been prolific so far this season, scoring 13 league goals between them, but Trinidad and Tobago striker Jones will miss out through injury. Bent is at 8/1 to open the scoring, followed by Frazier Campbell at 11/1.
Bent has currently scored eight league goals and is at 8/1 to finish as the league’s top goal scorer, while Defoe has six and is at 14/1 to lead the scoring charts.
A 1-0 win for Harry Redknapp’s side is the favourite result at 13/2. A 1-1 draw, 2-1 or 2-0 victory for Spurs are all at 15/2. A 3-0 win for Spurs is at 10/1, with 3-1 at 12/1. A 1-0 win for Sunderland is priced at 16/1.
Spurs are 7/5 to be winning at half time and full time, and draw / Spurs is priced at 7/2. Draw / draw is at 11/2, with Sunderland / Sunderland at 12/1.
The North-London side have lofty ambitions this season and are at 6/1 to finish in the top four and Sunderland are 14/1 to finish in the top six.
