Old Trafford is the setting for the match up between Manchester United and Sunderland, and looks to be a good match. Since losing to Burnley early in the season, United have won every match and looked comfortable. Sunderland on the other hand, have been impressive so far this season and currently lie in eighth place.
The champions are 1/5 (bet $50 to make $10 profit) to triumph, whilst Sunderland are 14/1. The draw is at 6/1.
England’s Wayne Rooney is favourite to open the scoring at 7/2, with Bulgaria captain Dimitar Berbatov following at 5/1. Rooney is currently joint-second top scorer in the Premiership, and is 5/1 to finish as the league’s top goal scorer. Sunderland’s best hope is Darren Bent who is at 11/1. He is equal with Rooney having also scored six goals and is 14/1 to be top scorer.
United are 8/13 to be winning at half time and full time and draw / United is at 4/1. Draw / Draw is 10/1 and Sunderland / Draw is 28/1. Sunderland / United is priced at 33/1.
A 2-0 for Sir Alex Ferguson’s side is the favourite result at 11/2. United to win 3-0 is at 7/1 as is a 1-0 for the Red Devils. A 2-1 win is 9/1 and a 4-0 win is 11/1.
The Reds will be without striker Michael Owen, after he limped off in their midweek Champions League game after 20 minutes with a groin injury. Owen Hargreaves will also not play due to his Tendonitis, but United received a boost as Ferguson believes the defensive midfielder will be back in action in early November.
United are priced at 2/1 to win the title and Sunderland are 17/1 to finish in the top six.
