Tottenham travel to the Reebok stadium today, looking to maintain their excellent start to the season against a Bolton side who have struggled at home recently.
Spurs are rated as evens (bet $10 to make $10 profit) to win the match, whilst Bolton are at 10/3. The draw is at 13/5.
English striker Jermain Defoe is rated as most likely to open the scoring at 5/1, followed by last week’s four-goal hero Robbie Keane at 11/2. England’s Peter Crouch is next at 6/1, followed by Roman Pavlyuchenko at 15/2. Bolton’s best hope is Kevin Davies who is priced at 9/1.
Harry Redknapp’s side are 12/5 to be winning at half time and full time and draw / Spurs is priced at 4/1. Draw / draw is at 5/1 with Bolton / Bolton at 7/1.
The north London side have not won at the Reebok since 2004 and the bookies expect a tight match. Bolton won this fixture last season but Spurs are an entirely different prospect now. A 1-1 draw is rated as the most likely score at 6/1 whilst a 1-0 win for Spurs is at 7/1. The odds for Spurs to win 2-1 are 8/1 and 2-0 is at 9/1.
Spurs play maker Luka Modric will certainly miss the match and Jermain Defoe is also doubtful after he injured his hand. Spurs have won five of their seven opening matches and currently lie in fourth place in the league. Bolton are in 13th position.
Spurs are 6/1 to break into the top four this season, whilst Bolton are 1/9 to avoid the drop.
