Is this the most stupid red card of all time?

Picture the scene. You're the goalkeeper of a side playing in a big cup match against your local rivals and in front of a hostile crowd. Tensions are already high when a skinhead runs onto the pitch and attempts to karate-kick you in the head. Being a professional athlete you manage to dodge the attacker's flying kick and land a couple of blows on the agressor before ground staff arrive to break things up.

What happens next almost defies belief. As the hooligan is led from the pitch...the referee sends you off! Even though you were simply defending yourself. Cue pandimonium as the manager of your team orders all of his players off the field and the game is abandoned.
