Britain’s Got Talent Semi-Final 5 Betting Preview

LONDON, UK – Janey Cutler caused a minor upset in the in-running betting markets last night by winning the fourth semi-final of BGT, and she is now at 9/1 with Sky Bet from 28/1 to go on and win the show. Tonight is the last of the five semi-finals and sees the return of opera singer Liam McNally to our TV screens.
McNally wowed the judges with a terrific rendition of `Danny Boy` in the auditions, and he has been tipped for a bright future. The 14-year-old is more used to singing in his bedroom, but BGT bettors think that he has a realistic chance of winning the show on Saturday night.
The schoolboy is incredibly short in the betting to qualify from the fifth semi-final at odds of 1/40 (bet ÂŁ400 to win ÂŁ10) with Bet 365. Alternatively his fans can take 1/3 with the same firm about him actually winning the semi-final. In the outright betting, he is a 10/1 chance with Victor Chandler at the moment, but those odds could shorten to the back of another good performance.
On paper his closest opposition this evening looks to be drummer Kieran Gaffney. Gaffney failed to make any inroads in the competition last year when performing alongside his parents, but they have since been ditched. The drummer is give a decent chance of qualification at 11/8, and he is 6/1 to win the semi-final.
Dance troupe Myztikal are at 13/8 to qualify, but the voting patterns from last night suggest that voters may be getting tired of seeing so many similar dance acts in the competition.
A3 are a group of dancing brothers, but they have already been warned by the judges that they need to improve in order to really be competitive. They are 11/4 to qualify with Bet 365 and 14/1 to win the heat.
The Chippendoubles are celebrity impersonators who could get a few votes on the night, but they are 11/2 just to qualify.
Singers Graham and James Edgington are from Bolton, and their chances of winning BGT have been written off by Paddy Power at 150/1. Graham and James are a family act, but have an uphill task just to qualify from the semi-final at 12/1.
Dance Flavourz have been described by Simon Cowell as `utter madness`. The Brazilian dancers will hope that their revealing costumes can gain votes, and they are a massive 25/1 for qualification.
Pole dancer Alesia Vazmitsel certainly caught the eye during the auditions and will be using a `very high pole` for the very first time. Her fans can take 25/1 that she qualifies or even 50/1 that she wins the semi-final.
