US Open Tennis betting odds - Federer favourite despite poor Wimbledon

Roger Federer remains favourite for the US Open this year despite his early Wimbledon exit, which saw him fall as low as third in the world rankings. The Swiss, who has been almost invincible at the tournament in recent years, lost in the quarter-finals against twelfth seed Thomas Berdych, to the horror of punters who had thought backing him was like buying money.
Federer is 11/4 (bet £40 to win £110 profit) with Sky Bet and Coral to recapture his form and return to the very top of the sport, but many have speculated that he can no longer dominate the men`s game the way he has for so long.
Instead, they believe that this year`s Wimbledon Final ushered in the age of world number one Rafael Nadal, who is 7/2 with Sky Bet to win his third  Grand Slam this year.
Andy Murray disappointed local fans with his semi-final defeat to the Spaniard but he is 9/2 with Totesport to dust himself off and triumph on his favoured hard-court, while fellow semi-finalist Novak Djokovic is available at 9/1 with bet365.
Berdych, who upset both Federer and Djokovic at Wimbledon to move into the top ten, is 12/1 with most bookmakers, with Robert Soderling at the same price.
Others worth watching include John Isner, who won the longest match of all time in SW19, at 66/1, and Queen`s winner Sam Querrey, at 80/1 with bet365.
