WTA Indiana Wells tennis betting

The women`s Indiana Wells tournament starts tomorrow, with many of the top players taking part. Last year the tournament was won by Vera Zvonareva, who beat Ana Ivanovic in the final. Justine Henin and Kim Clijsters will both be desperate to win the tournament, to improve their world rankings, which are low due to taking an extended break from tennis.
With the Williams sisters absent, it is the two Belgians who head the betting for the event, with Henin the favourite at 10/3 (bet £30 to make £100 profit). Clijsters is priced at 9/2 with Ladbrokes, while Russian Elena Dementieva is next at 10/1. Both of the Belgians had triumphant returns to tennis, with Clijsters making becoming an unlikely US Open champion, and Henin reaching the final of the Australian Open.
Victoria Azarenka is also at 10/1, while Coral offer 12/1 on Maria Sharapova. This price seems generous for the 2006 champion, especially as she is only priced at 10/1 on Betfair, although she is in the same quarter of the draw as Henin, which could prove a stumbling block.
The top seed for the tournament is world no. 3 Svetlana Kuznetsova, but she faces an extremely tough draw, with Clijsters potentially waiting in the fourth round, and either Jelena Jankovic or Flavia Pennetta in the quarters. Kuznetsova has reached the final here twice, and she is priced at 17/1 to go one better this year.
Last year`s finalists Ivanovic and Zvonareva could meet up in the third round, after they were seeded in the same quarter. Ivanovic won the tournament in 2008, but could not overcome Zvonareva last year, eventually losing 7-6, 6-2. Zvonareva is priced at 29/1 for the tournament, while Ivanovic is at 100/1 with Bet365.
