UEFA Champions League football betting - CSKA Moscow vs Inter

Jose Mourinho continues his quest to end Inter`s recent Champions League disappointment. The Italian side have reached the semi-finals only once in the last twenty years, despite their domestic success, and after winning 1-0 in the San Siro this is surely their best chance against one of the weaker sides left in the competition. Inter won both legs of their tie against Chelsea in the last round and have shown a real desire to go far in Europe this season, with many speculating that Mourinho needs his team to be crowned champions if he is to keep his job.
The visitors are favourites for the game at 13/10 (bet £10 to win £13 profit), leaving CSKA as underdogs at 9/4 with the draw at the same price. Inter will be unhappy with their domestic form as they have won only two of their last six league matches and lost 2-1 in a crucial game at Roma just over a week ago. However, they may believe the dip is over after their confident 3-0 win over Bologna last time out. Moscow have only played three league games this season but have started well, winning twice and drawing once.
The game looks as if it could be close and the bookmakers have made a 1-1 draw the favourite score at 6/1, followed closely by a 1-0 win for Inter at 13/2, with 0-0 at 8/1. A surprise 1-0 home is available at 17/2 and would send the tie into extra time and 2-1, which would see Inter win on away goals, is 12/1 with SkyBet. A more comfortable 2-0 win for Jose Mourinho`s side is priced at 10/1.
Ladbrokes have made Argentine striker Diego Milito favourite to open the scoring tonight at 11/2, followed by Samuel Eto`o, who scored in the final of this competition last year en route to winning it with Barcelona, at 13/2. Goran Pandev of Macedonia is 8/1. CSKA`s best hope of scoring the game`s first goal is twenty year-old Czech forward Tomas Necid, generally available at 7/1.
Inter are 3/1 to lead tonight at both half-time and full-time and 9/2 to win the match despite drawing at half-time. The bookmakers offer 4/1 that both halves end in a draw and Moscow are 11/2 with Victor Chandler be winning at both the interval and the final whistle. Draw/CSKA is available at 7/1 with the same firm.
After taking control of this tie against questionable opposition, Inter are second favourites to win the Champions League this season at 4/1, behind only defending champions Barcelona. CSKA are thought to be on their way out and are the least likely team left in the competition for glory at 66/1.
