UEFA Champions League football betting - Inter vs CSKA Moscow

Inter welcome CSKA Moscow to the San Siro tonight as they look to put their run of disappointment in the Champions League behind them. The Serie A title holders have not gone past this stage of the competition since 2003, despite their domestic dominance, but have their best chance in a long while of winning it for the third time. Manager Jose Mourinho is also under pressure to deliver and many believe he will struggle to hold on to his job if his side are not crowned Champions of Europe at the end of the season.
The Italian side are favourites for the game at 4/9 (bet £90 to win £40 profit), leaving CSKA as big underdogs at 8/1, with the draw at 7/2. Inter have been in questionable domestic form recently, winning only one of their last five, but three of these came away from home and they are a different animal at the San Siro. Their win over Chelsea in the last round of the Champions League shows how big a challenge this tie will be for CSKA, who progressed with a 3-2 aggregate win over Sevilla.
The bookmakers have made a 2-0 win for Inter the favourite score for the game at 11/2, with Totesport offering 6/1 on 1-0 and Skybet best price at 17/2 for a 1-1 draw, which would surely see Moscow come away the happier side. A goalless encounter is 12/1 with Bet365 and a shock 1-0 win for CSKA is available at 16/1.
Diego Milito has been made favourite to open the scoring tonight and the Argentinian striker, who has hit eighteen league goals this season, is 4/1 with Coral to do the honours with Samuel Eto`o generally available at the same price. Coral are also best price on Goran Pandev at 6/1, Mario Balotelli at 7/1 and Wesley Sneijder at 9/1. Tomas Necid is seen to be Moscow`s best hope of scoring the game`s first goal and the Russian is priced at 12/1 with Paddy Power.
Inter are 11/10 to lead tonight at both half-time and full-time tonight and 7/2 with Ladbrokes to win the match after drawing at half-time. The bookmakers offer 6/1 that both halves end in a draw and Moscow are 18/1 to be winning at both the interval and the final whistle. Draw/Moscow is available at 20/1 with Bet365.
Jose Mourinho won the Champions League with Porto but despite winning every domestic title possible at both Chelsea and Inter he has yet to repeat his European success. The bookmakers seem to think this season offers a good chance and Inter are third favourites at 4/1. CSKA are not seen as much of a threat and are 50/1.
