UEFA Champions League football betting - Chelsea vs Inter Milan

Jose Mourinho returns to Stamford Bridge tonight as Chelsea face Inter Milan in the knockout stages of the Champions League. The visitors won the first leg 2-1 in Italy and the Special One will hope it is enough of an advantage to give his side a chance to end their streak of disappointing finishes in the competition. Chelsea still remember fondly the man who brought them their first league titles in fifty years but they are looking to win their first ever Champions League and would not be sad to see his dramatic return to West London end in defeat.
The Blues are favourites for the game at 8/13 (bet £130 to win £80 profit), leaving Inter as underdogs at 5/1. Chelsea have been in questionable form of late, losing three of their last seven matches, but seem to have put an end to the blip and looked confident in their recent wins over Stoke and West Ham. Inter, however, have won only two of their last seven and will need to improve if they are to get a result against a Chelsea team with thirteen wins in their fifteen home league games this season. The draw, which would send Inter through, is 3/1 with Victor Chandler.
Victor Chandler have made a 1-0 win for Chelsea the favourite score for the match at 6/1, with Paddy Power offering 13/2 on 2-0 and 3-0 generally available at 12/1. A 1-1 draw is 7/1 with Boylesports and a 0-0 can be found at 10/1. A winning return for Inter, in the form of a 1-0 win for the Italian side, is at 14/1.
Didier Drogba, who threatened to leave Stamford Bridge after Mourinho`s departure, is now 4/1 favourite to open the scoring tonight against the man who signed him from Marseilles. Nicholas Aneka, his strike partner, is next at 11/2 and Frank Lampard, who was also close with Mourinho, is available at 7/1 with William Hill. Diego Milito is seen as Inter`s best chance of scoring the first goal tonight at 8/1, with Samuel Eto`o at 9/1.
William Hill are best price at 8/5 that Chelsea lead tonight at both half-time and full-time and Ladbrokes offer 7/2 that they win after drawing at half-time. Victor Chandler go 11/2 that both halves end in a draw and the same firm offer 12/1 that Inter are winning at both the interval and the final whistle. Draw/Inter is available at the same price.
Both sides are among the favourites for the Champions League this season, with Chelsea at 5/1, behind only Manchester United and Barcelona, and Inter at 11/1.
