UEFA Europa League: Fulham v Wisla Krakow Odds and Betting Preview

LONDON, UK - 2010’s beaten finalists Fulham welcome Wisla Krakow to Craven Cottage as they look to get their Europa League campaign back on track following their defeat in Poland a fortnight ago. That loss left a sour taste in the mouth of the Cottagers as an extremely soft red card for Moussa Dembele handicapped them as they went down to a solitary strike from Dudu Biton.
Fulham’s fortunes have been mixed so far this term and despite being difficult to beat, Saturdays win at Wigan was only their second all season domestically. Wisla Krakow have also shown some inconsistency with three wins and two defeats in their last five domestic fixtures. However, the bookies still fancy Fulham to have too much for the Poles and are backing them to take the three points at home - Ladbrokes offer the best value at 4/11 (bet £11 to make £4 profit). Those predicting a stalemate in south London should head to Victor Chandler where a draw is available at 4/1 and a victory for Wisla Krakow is considered unlikely with bwin betting at 19/2 for a upset at Craven Cottage.
Fulham boss Martin Jol will be without the suspended Dembele in attack but will have the option of calling on Philippe Senderos’ defensive services as he looks to return following a lengthy injury lay off.
Fulham's problems this season have stemmed from a lack of goals as they have only bothered the scorers thirteen times in the Premier League this term, with six of those coming as they dished out a drubbing to QPR. As a result its no surprise to see the favoured score line is a tight 1-0 win for Fulham with William Hill offering the best odds at 6/1. Boylesports propose a 1-1 draw at 9/1, whilst the chances of a Krakow victory are considered slim. Paddy Power rate the chances of an 1-0 upset at 22/1.
Andy Johnson and Bobby Zamora are the pick of the players available in the first goal scorer markets. Both England internationals have three goals each to their names this season and will be looking to beef up that tally against Wisla. Paddy Power is backing the pair at 4/1 to bag first. Despite a slow start to the season in front of goal, Wisla’s Bulgarian front man Tsvetan Genkov is considered to be their most potent threat and can be backed to score first at 14/1 with bet365.
In the half time/full time markets the best odds on Fulham to lead at the interval and the final whistle lie with Sportingbet offering evens. The second favourite prediction is for a halftime stalemate ending with a Fulham full time win, totesport are betting at 10/3 for that outcome. The unlikely event of Wisla Krakow pulling away into a first half lead and holding on till the final whistle can be found at 20/1 with bet365.
Fulham's hopes of progression will surely hinge on a win tonight as Group K hots up. Leaders FC Twente are separated by just 4 points from bottom side Wisla Krakow and there is everything to play for. Following Fulham’s fairytale adventure in 2010 as they made it to an unlikely final, only to be vanquished by Diego Forlan’s Athletico Madrid, they are considered outside title contenders under the tutelage of experience coach Martin Jol. They might be worth a punt at 40/1 with Coral. Wisla Krakow on the other hand aren't expected to have any impact on the later stages of the competition and are extremely long shots at 1000/1 with bet365.  Â
