World Cup Final Odds: Holland v Spain Correct Score Betting

JOHANNESBURG, SOUTH AFRICA - For football bettors who are not currently holding betting slips with either Spain or Holland to win the 2010 World Cup at fancy odds, then one of the best ways to be financially involved in Sunday`s final is to try and predict the correct score between the two teams after 90 minutes of action at Soccer City. A bet on the correct score can take all kinds of twists and turns, and it often means having to support both sides at different stages of the evening.
Spanish fans will be gunning for a Spain win, whilst the Oranje faithful will be backing a famous victory for The Flying Dutchmen. The good news for neutrals is that all doors are open in the correct score market - that is unless you are taking on board Paul the Octopus` prediction that Spain will lift the World Cup.
The most realistic score after 90 minutes according to the betting is 1-0 to Spain, which is priced up at odds of 11/2 (bet £2 to win £11 profit) with Ladbrokes and Victor Chandler. If you think that Spain will outclass the Dutch, 2-0 could make some appeal at 17/2 with Blue Sqaure given that these big finals tend to be low-scoring affairs.
Other scores that would hand Spain the trophy within 90 minutes are 2-1 and 3-1, which are at 9/1 and 22/1 respectively with Sky Bet. Neutrals would not want the match to be too one-sided, but a bet on the 3-0 scoreline could boost your finances at 25/1.
If you fancy a tight match, then it may be wise to keep the 1-1 draw on your side at 11/2 with Coral. 0-0 would be a disappointing scoreline for neutrals at 7/1 with Ladbrokes, but it would mean that customers at Bet 365 and Paddy Power would have their first goalscorer bets refunded. A 2-2 thriller is generally available at 18/1.
Holland`s best chance of winning is 1-0, which is currently at 15/2 with Bet 365. 2-0 for Wesley Sneijder`s side is 16/1 and 3-0 is nigh on impossible at 80/1, even though few could have predicted France`s thrashing of Brazil in the 1998 final by the same scoreline at the time. A 2-1 win in favour of the Dutch looks a solid pick at 12/1 with Ladbrokes.
