World Cup betting - Uruguay vs Holland first goalscorer odds

Robin van Persie has been made favourite to open the scoring this evening as Holland take on the Netherlands in the semi-finals of the World Cup. Betfred and Extrabet offer 5/1 (bet £10 to win £50 profit) on the Arsenal striker, who has 19 goals in 49 caps for his country.
After a decent, if injury-plagued, season with Arsenal, van Persie has had a fairly unimpressive World Cup so far, falling out with Wesley Sneijder and scoring only once in the competition.
He is followed in the betting by Arjen Robben, who has looked very dangerous in South Africa this summer despite starting only two games after picking up an injury going into the tournament. The Bayern Munich winger was an integral part of his club`s impressive run in the Champions League and he will need to be in top form if Holland are to win the World Cup this year. Robben is 6/1 with Ladbrokes to open the scoring tonight and 2/1 with Paddy Power to score at any time.
Paddy Power are also top price on Wesley Sneijder to score the fist goal of this evening`s match, offering 7/1. Sneijder already has an impressive four goals at the tournament and is in contention for the Golden Boot while playing in midfield. He is also now joint-favourite with Lionel Messi to win the FIFA Ballon d`Or.
At the same price as Sneijder is another player who has been carrying his side for much of the tournament in the form of Uruguay`s Diego Forlan. Forlan has three goals in South Africa and the last two have proved crucial in their 21 win over South Korea and their 1-1 draw with Ghana. The Atletico Madrid striker is 7/1 with most bookmakers to put the South Americans on their way to an upset this evening.
Uruguay vs Holland kicks off at 7.30 p.m BST.
